Hot Chocolate Has Never Been Easier

We created hot chocolate without ever cooking the milk, that’s right, no stove needed for this yummy Christmas treat.

It was pretty exciting and unbelievable that the Vitamix Aer Disc Container created the hot chocolate, and heated it all in 6 minutes.

Creating Hot Chocolate

Serves 2 / Total Time: 10 minutes

• 2 Cups Skim Milk (I used whole milk, 2 % would be good too)
• 1/2 Cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

Place all ingredients into the Aer Disc Container in the order listed and secure the lid.

Select the lowest setting. Start the machine, slowly increase to its highest speed, and run for 6 minutes.

Make it your own

Put a twist on traditional hot chocolate by adding orange, coconut, vanilla, or peppermint extracts.

Just 1/4 teaspoon of any of these will add a hint of fun flavor.

Creating Whipped Cream

Yields 3 1/2 Cups / Total Time: 6 minutes

• 3 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
• 1/3 Cup Granulated Sugar

Place all ingredients into the Aer Disc Container in the order listed and secure the lid.

Select the lowest setting.

Start the machine, increase to its highest speed, and run for 45 seconds to 1 minute, using the tamper to press ingredients into the disc toward the end of the run time.

Add a Little Christmas Spirit

I added a 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract to the whipping cream, it tasted amazing.

You could add Creme de Mint as well.

Creating The Smoothie

There are great recipes that come with your Vitamix E310 Explorian Series Blender.

• 2 Fruits, I used blueberries and raspberries
• 1 Green, I used spinach
• 1 Liquid, I used apple juice
• You could also add a protein powder if you would like to.

Place all the ingredients in the Vitamix E310 Explorian Series Blender.

Start the machine, increase to its highest speed, and run for 45 seconds to 1 minute, using the tamper to press ingredients into the disc toward the end of the run time.

You may need to use the muddler that comes with the system to push the ingredients down as they blend.
