This is the time of year to get the entire family involved in the fun of creating Easter decorations and easy Easter crafts. You can create these fun and easy DIY Easter projects without spending a lot of money.

Easter eggs are going to look a little different this year because real eggs are just too expensive to hide. I created some of these fun Easter crafts with things I already had around the house.

Easter Bunny Plate

This is a fun project that can also be turned into a game for the kids. You can use a hot glue gun or glue dots to create it, and I would file this one under simple Easter crafts.

Items Needed

• 2 White Pom Poms
• 1 Small Pink Pom Pom
• 2 Paper Plates
• Glue Dots or Glue Gun
• Markers
• Wiggle Eyes

Directions

1. Cut one of the plates in half to make the bunny ears.
2. Color the inside of the 2 half-paper plates with pink for the inside of the bunny ear.
3. Glue the 2 white pom poms into the middle of the full plate.
4. You could also use cotton balls if you don’t have pom poms.
5. Next, glue the small pink pom onto the top of the white pom poms.
6. Color with the markers a mouth under the white pom poms.
7. Using a black marker, or wiggle eyes, create eyes for the bunny.
8. Create a bow under the mouth using the markers.

Easter Charcuterie

This is one of the most fun Easter activities I created. You can make it your own and use whatever Easter candy you like the most. The board is fairly inexpensive, and I have used it time and time again, so it has paid for itself. The one thing I didn’t add that I wish I would have was jelly beans. But it sure has a lot of yummy treats on it, and it’s perfect for any Easter party.

Items Needed

• Board
• Easter Candy
• Peeps
• Cookies
• Whatever Else You Want To Put On The Board

Directions

1. Fill up the board with all the Easter candy and treats, and organize it in groups.

Easter Egg Lights

Creating DIY Easter crafts is a great way to reuse items from other holidays. Like these Easter egg lights, where you can reuse Christmas lights, and plastic Easter eggs from the past.

Items Needed

• Plastic Eggs
• Electric Christmas Lights
• Glue Dots
• Drill With Bit

Directions

1. Drill a hole in each Easter egg.
2. Place a glue dot on each bulb of the Christmas lights.
3. Put the plastic egg on top of the light.

Paper Mache Easter Egg

I love creating Easter egg crafts with paper mache eggs. You can use acrylic paint, tissue paper, decoupage, and more. You could also create this craft with wooden eggs. This is another fun way to get the whole family involved. You could also use these decorated eggs to make a wreath for your front door.

Items Needed

• Easter Basket
• Paper Mache Eggs
• Decou Page
• Foam Brush
• Tissue Paper

Directions

1. Use scissors to cut the tissue paper into 1″ x 1″ squares.
2. Working in small sections, paint some decoupage onto the paper mache egg.
3. Add a piece of tissue paper, and paint decoupage over it.
4. Continue to do steps 1 and 2 until the whole egg is covered.
5. Don’t be afraid to place tissue paper pieces over each other.
6. Place the decorated eggs in an Easter basket for an added look.

Easter Peep Cocktails and Mocktails

Creating these yummy cocktails for Easter is one of the best ideas I have ever done. They are yummy and cute, and perfect for any Easter brunch or Easter dinner.

Items Needed

• Martini Glasses
• 4 Kinds Of Juice
• Peeps In 4 Colors
• Vodka
• Orange Bitters
• Simple Syrup
• Colored Sugar

Directions

1. Using either water or juice, wet the outside rim of each glass.
2. Swirl the glass rim in the sugar until the whole rim is coated.
3. Pour your favorite juices into each glass, one juice in each glass.
4. Cut the bottom of the peeps so they will sit nicely on the glass rim.
5. Add a shot of vodka and a couple of drops of bitters to each glass.
6. If you like a sweeter drink, add a 1/2 teaspoon of simple syrup to each glass.
7. You can create this drink in a shaker and pour it in, or just stir it in the glass.
8. Add the cut peep to the rim of the glass.
