Flower Picture Frame
Create a pretty wall hanging with just a few items, this can be created for under $2.00. If you don’t already have the items for this project, you can order curbside from your nearest craft store, or order online.
Items Needed
- Wooden picture frame
- Deco Art acrylic paint
- Card stock, color of your choice
- Gerber daisy, or mom’s favorite flower
- Hot glue gun
- Sponge brush
Directions
- Paint the wooden frame using the sponge brush and Deco Art paint, let it dry 10 minutes.
- Cut the card stock to the size of the cardboard that came with the frame.
- Place the card stock inside the picture frame.
- Glue the flower to the middle of the card stock.
Popsicle Stick Jewelry Holder
Whether You buy mom jewelry for Mother’s Day or she already has quite a bit, she will love this jewelry holder. Made out of Popsicle sticks and love, this is a very easy and inexpensive craft that anyone can make. This craft can be made for under $1.00.
Items Needed
- 14 Popsicle sticks
- Deco Art acrylic paint, 3 colors similar to each other
- Deco Art acrylic paint, white
- Sponge brush
- Hot glue gun
Directions
- Paint 6 of the Popsicle sticks with the 3 paint colors that are similar, 2 in each color.
- Paint 8 of the Popsicle sticks with the white paint.
- Glue the different colored Popsicle sticks to 2 of the white sticks to form a latter look.
- Hot glue 2 white Popsicle sticks to 1 white Popsicle stick to form a tee pee.
- Repeat step 4 with 3 more Popsicle sticks.
- Glue the ladder made from Popsicle sticks to the 2 tee pees.
- Let dry and hang mom’s jewelry.
Mother’s Day Cocktail Tray
This tray is easy to make and mom can use it for so many things. Cocktails, tea, coffee, or even snacks. You can create this craft for under $5.00 and mom will love it forever.
Items Needed
- Wooden tray
- Deco Art paint, your choice of color
- Deco Art decou page
- Sponge brush
- Tissue paper
- Rope or handles
Directions
- Paint the wooden tray using the sponge brush, let dry for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Cut the tissue paper to the size of the top of the tray.
- Using a clean sponge brush, cover the top of the tray with decoupage.
- Quickly place the tissue paper on top of the decoupage.
- Paint another layer of decoupage on top of the tissue paper.
- Hot glue the rope handles to the side of the tray, or attach the handles if they are metal.
Mother’s Day Cocktails
Whether you are creating DIY Mother’s Day cocktails or crafts, these brunch cocktails are a must in my home. I love how many choices of yummy cocktails there are. These Somrus Mango liqueur and Somrus Chai liqueur cocktails are tasty, and perfect for a Mother’s Day brunch cocktail.
Mango Sunrise Cocktail
Items Needed
- 1 oz Somrus Mango Liqueur
- Egg white
- 1 oz Grenadine
- 2 oz Rum
- Mango juice or sparkling water, enough to almost fill the glass.
- 1 oz Lime juice
- Mango slice
- Lime slice
- Maraschino cherry
Directions
- Whip the egg white for about 3 minutes or until it peaks.
- Add 1 oz of Somrus Mango Liqueur, gently stir it into the egg white.
- In a tall glass, or wine glass, add ice, grenadine, rum, lime juice and mango juice or spritzer.
- Place the egg white mixture on top of the cocktail and gently mix it in.
- Add the slice of mango, lime, and cherry for garnish.
Chai Espresso Cocktail
Items Needed
- 1 oz Somrus Chai Liqueur
- 2 shots of Espresso
- 1 oz Vodka
- Ice
- Whipped Cream
Directions
- Add 1 oz Somrus Chai Liqueur to the 2 shots of espresso.
- Next, add the 1 oz Vodka.
- Place 2 – 3 ice cubes in the glass.
- Mix, and add whipped cream.
