Traffic Secrets – getting you customers to notice you, that’s the point, right. I want people to notice what I am writing about and creating, so they keep coming back.
Who Is Your Dream Customer
Traffic Secrets is the third book in the Traffics series from Russell Brunson, and definitely the one I need right now. In this book, and through the 30 day challenge, I learned 4 key strategies. The first strategy was learning who your dream customer is. Who wants to read what I write, and who do I want reading what I write? Not everyone is going to want to consume what I have to offer, and that is ok, I’m looking for those people that want to keep coming back for more.
The Dream 100
The second strategy was The Dream 100, what is that you ask? If I understand it correctly, the Dream 100 is the 100% that is interested in what you have to say, or sell. You could have a group of a thousand people, but only a hundred people from that group are truly interested in what you have. That is your Dream 100, that is who you concentrate all of your advertising, or strategy on. I think my favorite quote from Traffic Secrets has to do with The Dream 100. “Dig your well before you’re thirsty”. This kind of goes back to “if you build it, they will come”, but on a bigger scale, for me anyways.
Hook, Story, Offer
Sounds like a fishing story about to happen right? But it’s definitely Marketing 101, or Sales 101. I’ve been in marketing for over 20 years and the first thing I learned was you have to have a hook, or as we use to call it, an elevator speech. You have to get that persons attention in less then 8 seconds, yep, 8 seconds. As the Traffic Secrets will show you, social media has made this so much easier, video presence, catchy pictures, and even jaw dropping offers. With the click of a mouse, you have made an offer they can’t refuse.
Fill The Funnel
I believe in filling my funnel organically. Is it because of the type of business I have, or because I have always worked with a zero budget? Through social media posts, I hope to reach my target customer, but can I do this organically. I’m a social gal, but I was doing social completely wrong, I was treating it like a sales funnel, instead of like a way to get people to trust me. I know better then that, it’s all about Traffic Secrets – getting you customers to notice you. I realized I had forgotten the number one rule in sales. They aren’t buying your product, they are buying you. I mean yah, they want what you got, the newest gadget, the how-to class, but if they don’t trust you first, they won’t trust what you are selling them.
