Goal Setting On A Diet

Tracking PixelWhen I set out to do a diet, and there have been many, I feel that goal setting on a diet is key. I don’t always achieve that goal, but I always set one. With the Always Eat After 7 PM: The Revolutionary Rule-Breaking Diet That Lets You Enjoy Huge Dinners, Desserts, and Indulgent Snacks—While Burning Fat Overnight by Joel Marion book, I am learning how to set goals that I can actually achieve.

Setting The Diet Goals

The goals for this diet were a little different then any other goals I have ever set. I find myself with little or now energy these days, and this book shows you how your eating habits really affect your energy level. Since starting the “Always Eat After 7PM” diet, I have noticed a lot more energy, and a better nights sleep.

 A Healthy Way To Eat

The Kick-Start Goal

The Always Eat After 7 PM plan consists of: The 14-day Acceleration Phase to kick-start the program and see rapid results, The Main Phase where you’ll learn exactly which foods to eat when in order to achieve your weight-loss goals, The Lifestyle Phase to keep the weight off for good. It was pretty hard during this part of the challenge. I had to not only change my eating habits, but also change what I eat.

Food Craving Goal

So food cravings, who doesn’t have them? Well, I have them every single day, actually more at night. Because of my thyroid condition and hashimotos, my eating habits are different then most. Which is why I feel this diet is really working for me. I can’t sit down and have a large meal that will carry me over to the next meal. I get food cravings, nothing in particular, just food. Except at night, I want sweet at night, chocolate, candy, ice cream. If it has sugar in it, I want it. The Always Eat After 7PM diet is teaching me that it is ok to have food cravings, just tide the over with healthier choices. Instead of candy, I am having cherries. I freeze them and eat them as they thaw, it’s almost like having ice cream too.

Cherry Garcia Ice Cream

Ice cream is known as one of the world’s most “fattening” foods. Until now.

What do you get when you combine cherries, dark chocolate, and bananas?

Well, to start with you get reduced inflammation and a hefty dose of melatonin from the cherries. Then add some iron and antioxidants from the dark chocolate and bananas to help boost heart health, lower blood pressure, lower insulin resistance, and even increase mental clarity.

All from eating ice cream.

Now you can enjoy this fat-loss friendly version of healthy ice cream any time of day—guilt free!

When you need ice cream in a flash, but you want to stick with your clean eating diet, then this is the recipe for you. Keep frozen bananas in your freezer at all time for emergency ice cream making sessions!

Quick Tip: Blend 3 frozen bananas with ¼ cup of coconut milk and use as the base for any combination of ice cream flavors. Throw in Mexican Brownie pieces (page TK) or Chocolate Chunk Cookie Dough (page TK) or blend in fresh berries or chopped tropical fruit.

Achieve The Goal With Good Food

Cooking has never been my forte’. I’m actually not a fan of it at all, mainly because I just didn’t know how.  One of my goals is to get healthier, I have slight high blood pressure, borderline type 2 diabetes, and a thyroid condition that has ruled my life for years. Learning how to cook healthy meals with the Always Eat After 7PM book has not only been easy, but really yummy. I am enjoying these recipes. They are healthy and taste really good.

  • “Avoiding carbohydrates and restricting calories later in the day can have an adverse effect on your thyroid hormones, which play a major role in metabolism. When the thyroid fails to secrete enough of the hormones that control metabolism, this can trigger symptoms like fatigue, depression, weight gain, thinning hair, and dry skin.”

Meal Planning

The easy-to-follow meal planning in this book is great. I made a grocery list, and menu, and a schedule of when I was going to eat what ever the choice was. I did have to tweak a few things because of my nut allergy, but that was pretty easy. One of my favorite things I’ve cooked a few times now is a zoodle, shrimp, garlic dinner. WOW, it is amazing.

Based on surprising science, Always Eat After 7 PM debunks popular diet myths and offers an easy-to-follow diet that accelerates fat-burning and allows you to indulge in your most intense food cravings: Eating the majority of your calories at night.
